Richard Wormwell has over 25 years of experience in the broadcast sector, holding numerous high-profile global positions. With a background in broadcast engineering, Richard built a career as a multi-camera studio director, working for major UK and international broadcasters. He now serves as dock10’s Head of Innovation, leading the facility's R&D strategies with a particular focus on the creative and technical practices of multi-camera virtual production.
Additionally, Richard served as a board member for the UK government's flagship Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund demonstrator, Weavr, a £7.2 million R&D project that leveraged AI and creative technologies for real-time immersive storytelling and audience engagement in the sports sector. He now leads a consortium for another UKRI-funded project through Bridge AI, focused on using generative AI to create real-time light transfer technologies in virtual production pipelines.
